I attended the University of Georgia and Alabama State University. I have a Bachelor of Science in Music Education. As a musician I played flute, French horn, trumpet and the piano.  I was a member of the Atlanta Youth Symphony Orchestra, The Emory University Volunteer Orchestra, the Montgomery Symphony Orchestra and the Alabama State Jazz Band.  I enjoy teaching children about music that engages their mind and body through a mixture of singing, dancing and acting.  I've had the honor of teaching children at Prattville Primary School since 1999. I am married with three wonderful children and five beautiful grandchildren.  In my spare time I enjoy hiking and kayaking.
